Turmeric-Paprika Prawns with Three Sisters Trio

For this dish, I’ve been experimenting with my brand new Air Fryer, which has been life-changing in terms of reducing cooking time. I’ve found that it has improved my overall cooking experience, which is great!


I enjoy preparing quick, simple, healthy, and tasty meals.


If, like me, you don’t enjoy baking or spending more time in the kitchen than necessary when you could be doing something else, you may appreciate an Air Fryer!

I prepped the squash, air-fried them for 12 min following the instructions, heated up the beans and corn with tomato paste and seasoning, and cooked the prawns. That was it.


If you don’t have an Air Fryer, simply roast the squash for 30-35 min.


Give it a try! It’s quick, easy, and healthy!


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Can Black Beans in water

  • 1 Can of Sweetcorn

  • 1/2 Butternut Squash

  • Pack of 150g prawns


SEASONING FOR CUBED BUTTERNUT SQUASH:

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion Salt

  • Paprika

  • Mixed Herb

  • Olive oil


SAUCE FOR SWEETCORN AND BEANS:

  • Tomato paste

  • Mixed her

  • Olive Oil

  • Salt


SEASONING FOR PRAWNS:

  • Turmeric

  • Paprika

  • Garlic Powder

  • Mixed Herb

  • Soya Sauce

  • Olive oil


PREPARATION:

1. Cut up the Butternut Squash into cubes and season it.

2. Open the can of sweetcorn can and drain it. 3. Open the can of beans, drain, and rinse them.


METHOD:

  1. Roast at 425°F for 30-35 minutes or Air Fry at 205°C for 12 minutes for the butternut squash.

  2. Heat sweetcorn and beans together over medium heat. Add tomato paste, herbs, olive oil, and salt for seasoning. Add a bit of water.

  3. Simmer on medium heat for 5 min or until the sauce is reduced. Set aside.

  4. In a hot frying pan, add prawns and the seasoning. Toss them around a bit and cook one side for 2 min.

  5. Turn the prawns over and fry on the other side for 1-2 min or until they are ready. Set aside.

  6. Once the Butternut squash is ready, plate everything up

  7. Drizzle olive oil and more seasoning of your choice if needed
